Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LitterWish ("we", "the service") handles personal data. LitterWish is software that breeders use to run their own waitlists and collect deposits. For the buyer data a breeder collects through their application page, the breeder is the data controller and LitterWish acts as a data processor on their behalf. For breeders' own account data, LitterWish is the controller.

Data we process

Breeder accounts: name, email, program details, timezone, and authentication data.

Buyers (applicants): the name, email, phone, and application answers a buyer submits, plus the timeline of status changes, notes, and emails, and — where a deposit is paid — the deposit amount, the terms accepted, and the timestamp and IP address of that acceptance. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; LitterWish never sees or stores card numbers.

Why we process it

To provide the service: receiving applications, letting breeders review them, sending transactional emails, collecting deposits, and giving buyers a status page. The legal basis is performance of a contract and the legitimate interests of running the service; deposit-terms acceptance records are kept to establish agreement to those terms.

Sub-processors

We rely on these providers to run the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage (EU region).
• Stripe — payment processing and deposit collection. See Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• MailerSend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Retention

Application and buyer data is retained while the breeder's account is active and the record is relevant to their program. Records tied to a paid deposit (the deposit, the accepted terms, and the payment audit trail) are retained as long as needed for financial, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes even if other personal details are erased.

Your rights

Buyers may request access, correction, or deletion of their data. Because the breeder is the controller, direct such requests to the breeder you applied to; they can export or delete your data from their dashboard. Where personal data is erased but a paid deposit exists, the personal identifiers are removed while the minimal financial record is retained as described above. EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR; California residents under the CCPA.

Cookies

LitterWish uses only strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and security. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
